Nokia is a communications company based out of Finland. It was developed in the year 1871. The public corporation is responsible for providing computer software, telecommunications equipment and Internet to users all around the world. The company itself has its headquarters in Espoo, Finland. Its presence in the country as been extremely beneficial because it is a primary employer and has aided small companies with growth by being involved in subcontracts and partnerships.

The main products they sell are mobile devices, specifically mobile telephones and other similar communications devices. It also provides Internet services that include music, messaging, games, applications, media, and more. With Siemens, the corporation formed Nokia Siemens Networks, which offers telecommunications network services, solutions and equipment.

As of 2012, the corporation is the second largest vendor of mobile phones, behind Samsung, around the world. Between 1998 and 2012, it was the largest vendor, but the growing demand for smart phones has lowered sales. It has more than 100,000 employees in 120 countries and distributes to 150 countries, collecting an estimated annual revenue of 38 billion euros.

The original phones by this company included a self-titled, custom operating system, which was designed for their phones exclusively. An alliance with the Windows Company developed in 2011. Following that, the company began loading their best-selling devices with the Microsoft Windows Phone operating system. Many of the lower-end phones are still running on the old Symbian system.

Since 2010, the business has been comprised of three main groups: mobile solutions, mobile phones and markets. Each of these units receives support from the corporate development office, which is responsible for exploring strategic growth opportunities for the future. Mobile solutions is focused on the portfolio for the company in regards to mobile computers, smart phones and other expensive multimedia devices. This team is also in charge of some Internet services.

The group mobile phones is involved with the affordable mobile devices portfolio. They also handle the numerous services that users can access through the mobiles, including voice and data products. In the market group, brand, sales, supply chains, delivery of phones and solutions and marking functions are handled.

The official manifesto of the corporation is The Nokia Way. This focuses on the speed and the flexibility of decision-making within a networked organization such as this. English is the official language for this business. It is considered a public limited liability corporation. It is the oldest of its kind that is listed with the same name on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, since 1915, as well as the New York Stock Exchange, since 1994. Nokia also includes subsidiaries, of which the two most important: Navteq and Nokia Siemens Networks.

Nokia is a Finnish company that has been in operation since the 1800s. It is focused on producing quality mobile devices, but is also a provider of services, solutions and other products, such as laptops, GPS systems and tablets. Over its many years, the company has expanded in varying respects. In 2011, it partnered with the Windows company to improve mobile services and devices. The corporation is currently ranked at number two, behind Samsung, as the largest vendor of mobile phones in the world.
