Shopping For The Best Cell Phone

By Randall Cox

Because of the advancement in cell phone technology, hunting for a new cell phone has become similar to buying a computer. For people who like to download files, they would have to get a phone that is compatible with their Mac or PC unit.

The various additional features that have been added on to the phones have made quite a lot of people appreciate their mobile gadget more and more. But for others, they're quite happy with just the basic uses of the phone, seeing all the other extras as just unwanted baggage. Old people don't normally have the inclination to learn to use these new features, they usually just use the phone for emergencies like getting a flat tire and or unexpected chest pains.

The ability to accept voicemails, take and review photos, send SMS messages and act as a videocam are just some of the customary applications that come with mobile phones these days. Now if you're looking for something extra, then there's a whole plethora you can choose from.

Bluetooth capability is one of the advantages of the more sophisticated mobile phones, so are functioning as a palmtop computer and file download capabilities. If you're not familiar with the word, Bluetooth means wireless technology. For those not well-versed with the technology, it seem the very idea is already referring to mobile phones, but in cell phone lingo it actually refers to using your phone to converse on the line without holding the phone yourself. It's the small gadget some people attach to their ear so they can talk on their phone while driving. It lets you use the mobile device hands-free. Now if you see someone making big gestures with their hands while arguing with no one in particular then they're probably on their phone talking.

Some really advanced phones have video streaming capability, as well as capturing still photographs. Still, there are some phones you can use that lets you download and upload files to and from your phone by plugging it straight to your computer. This would come in really handy if you've got this terrific shot using your mobile phone and want to share it with your friends, you just have to upload it and then print it on photo paper or send it out through the internet. With the technology today, it's almost possible to share files between any phone, but unfortunately it hasn't reached the same stage with computers because there are phones that are not yet compatible with certain types of units and there are some still that requires a special software before you can do any downloading or uploading.

With the myriad features that are available now, it can be confusing to find the phone that exactly suits your lifestyle, that's where the assistance of store attendants would be most useful. Now if you're not sure what you really want your first impulse would be to buy the phone that has everything in it, but be warned - more features usually mean higher cost.
