Using the Motorola Atrix to Find Places to Eat

By Gareth Jale

The Motorola Atrix smart phone is still relatively new on the already crowded market of smart phones, but because it was made by Google and because it carries the newest version of the Google smart operating system, Gingerbread, or Android 2.3, it has already sparked a large amount of buzz from people who either have used it or want it or are simply interested in learning more about it. Whether or not you have a smart phone already, you may still be interested in purchasing a Motorola Atrix, which a lot of people seemed to have done, already having a phone or not. This is because even the easiest of tasks are made easier with a smart phone like this one. These features and the right mobile accessories make for the perfect combination.

First of all, if you're going to use this device to do any navigating, shop finding, or locating of goodies in stores, it helps to know just what the Motorola Atrix is set up to do. Before you purchase it, you will need to first sign up for a 2 year contract unless you want to pay full price for the unlocked version.

Beyond the basics of price, it's a good idea to know how the phone itself is set up. You should expect this phone to have the basic functions like call and text. But being a smart phone, you can also surf the Internet, listen to music, check your mail, watching movies, look at pictures and more. You can even chat with friends or strangers through the front facing web cam and an app that connects you to the internet, such as Skype.

The parts that matter most for locating shops and restaurants, however, are the wireless connectivity, of which this device has plenty, and the processor and memory and storage, which allows you to store and run the apps you download for locating these facilities.

After you have learned your device and have it ready to go, you can download an application like Maps or Shopfinder to find any restaurant or shopping mall that you are looking for. Simply just type down your zip code and the program will automatically find everything around you, as well as give you reviews, hours, suggestions, etc.

You can also look into accessories like a screen protector or case to ensure that your device is well protected during everyday use. It would be some really terrible bad luck if you were to drop it when you were making a call or looking for directions and having the right cell phone accessories on hand can really make a difference.
