How to Transfer Files to a Smart Phone

By Gareth Jale

The HTC Evo 3D is a new breed of smart phone. Manufactured with the collaborative efforts of both Samsung and Google a little more than a month ago, this smart phone is the very first smart phone to incorporate Google's latest OS, Android 2.3, otherwise known as "Gingerbread". There are so many people talking about this mobile phone online (as well as offline), people wonder what can actually be done. Depending on your level of technical expertise in general and specific experience in the past with smart phones similar to this mobile phone, you might have a clear or a fuzzy idea about how to do various technical or fun things with the HTC Evo 3D and its cell phone accessories.

First of all, before you go about transferring files to or from your device, it's a good idea to figure out the various capabilities. Depending on what you are thinking about doing, you might not even need to transfer the files in the first place; you might be able to simply download them directly on your computer or directly on your device. However, if you actually do have a massive amount of files and can't download all of it at one time, it might just be wiser to just figure out how to transfer files.

Perhaps the simplest way to transfer a small file such as a picture or a document from your computer to your smart phone is to email it or send it as an attachment through a chat client. Virtually, you can use any email client to send a message from your computer. You can then access it into your HTC Evo 3D through the phone's built-in Internet browser and wireless connectivity.

After you have mastered file transfer you should take a look at some of the thousands of accessories available that can help facilitate information transfer. You might also want to look into protective devices such as a screen protector or a case.

The screen protector is an essential accessory, especially for this mobile phone since it's a touch screen based phone. The screen is the heart of the phone, and if it gets damaged, it is costly to replace. And just like the screen protector, the case will also keep your phone protected, but instead of the screen, it will keep the body of the phone intact. An accessory that you might consider for your computer is an SD card reader, as discussed above, to facilitate the upload and download of important personal files. Keep in mind that mobile accessories will help make this process easier.
